There are loads of options from Tracker themselves - I have one on my car that alerts to all sorts of stuff, and I can even see where the previous owner took the car / speeds / fuel consumption etc upto last August.

A half decent one will cost £3-400 to install and get going, then there are multiple year subscriptions or 'for life' (your ownership, not the life of the car) which is best value if you plan to keep the car 4 years or more.

I use a £50 tracker tag from ebay that I can leave in my car when someone else is using it and I'm, perhaps, less trusting in speeds they're doing, or just want to track progress (i.e. want to see if car is being wrapped by dealer). It has an iPhone app, and you can set text message alerts etc for certain speeds or distance from point A

It's certainly not the most Hightech solution, but it's cheap and it works pretty well

Plus, it's not hard wired in, so you can use it for other things too

I got it when my car was once in a local audi dealer and I got overtaken by my own car going flat out when I was out on my bike. I changed to another dealer, and used the tag, and can happily know that when they serviced my car, it did 5 miles and didn't once exceed 75mph

I use PinpointPal (https://www.pinpointpal.com/) which is exceptional value for money for a live tracker at £250 (one off payment for 2 years, then £25 a year thereafter) or £50 payment and then £10 a month).

Provides speed alerts, movements alerts, profiles for different hours of the day / days of the week etc, live tracking, full exportable history, in fact more features than I can remember. Naturally it has an iPhone app so you can see what's what, live.

If you look at the website and want to get one, I can refer you which gives us both 3 months free. I have nothing to do with the company except being a very satisfied customer and user.

Hmm, not very good from a privacy point of view. They should clear it when the owner changes, or at least hide the info from the next owner.

Funny you should do that - a friend of mine just signed up to pinpointpal yesterday and got the 3 months free as I referred them. Shout if you want the same thing.

Yeah, its looking that way, checked out the ebay one but it seems a little basic. I pick up next friday so have a bit of time to look around first. Will you defo get the free months more than once?

Yep - I get them as many times as I refer people. I've only referred 2 people so far and they've tagged 6 months on the end of my subscription so for me it's a win win !
