multifunction steering wheel
Hi,
I had one on mine (it had stereo and phone controls) and was the standard 4 spoke design, the controls worked well. I changed it as I didn't like the steering wheel feel, much prefer the 3-spoke alcantara RS4 steering wheel as much thicker and better shaped in my opinion. I still have the original (with the airbag as the airbags are a different shape) and its quite easy to switch them over. Although you would need the correct wiring of course to connect the multi-function wheel to.
Cheers.

If it's the same as my 2001 S4, then the MFSW simply has switches which are wired to an interface module which converts them to CAN. The module is mounted in the area above the pedals.
