First Dog transport duties for the Avant

Post by steve_70 » Mon Jul 27, 2015 6:17 pm

First job after picking it up Friday was to get the dog guard, load liner and boot liner/cover fitted; rear and front seat covers arrived, as well as matts, so will get them done later if ever stops raining

First was the dog guard and load liner that are the genuine oem ones that dealer threw in  ...£250 approx for the guard

Next up was boot liner / cover from eabay; I had used the 'Hatchbag' liners before but they seem a lot more expensive now that remember paying for last one, so thought would give this a go and if no good would return it and order the hatchbag one. As it turns out, this one was not bad for the money, less than half the hatchbag cost.

Seems well made and robust

nice lip protection flap for the dog paws (liner not fully fitted yet in this pic)

Here are the mutts trying out their new transpawtation

Looks a good bit of kit, my concern would be putting the dogs in the back after a walk, wet and thick mud,
thats gonna ruin a nice clean boot

Could have got them to smile a bit for the camera :D

What's to stop them messing the top of the seats up with their paws?

We got a RAV4 for general everyday dog duties, 90% of the time they will be in that.

You'll have no problem, if you don't plan on carrying much else. To give you a visual indication of the size, here's our Lurcher in the boot of mine PLUS a Bugaboo (as you're a parent you'll know what I mean!) and a day bag. She fits in no problem, even with those long legs of hers!
