I will be coming from thatcham witch is near reading if anyone is coming from near me and wants convoy up, Or are we all going to meet somewhere and convoy in for the last bit so we all get in at the same time?

My route will be A34-M40-A43 then one junction on the M1, so if anyone fancy meeting At the junction we come off the M1 and drive in from there?

Yes there should be room. I'll send final numbers next week. Its a big field so there should always be room as long as we let them know in time. Plus there's always a few last minute drop outs.

Ok nice one, Not been before, do you just say what club you are with at the gate and then they point you in the right direction?

Also, might be 10ish by the time I can get there. Is that gonna make it difficult to park up with the rest of you?

looking forward to meeting you all :beerchug:

Yeah just tell them you are with RS246 and they should point you in the right direction - sort of. You might need to drive around to find us as their directions aren't always brilliant and the place has quite a few turnings (and being the poor relative we are sometimes tucked away in the corner), but we look to have a strong stand this year so should stand out as the best stand by a mile. Hopefully, with them celebrating 20 years of RSs and having a special display of every RS made, they might want us to have a prominent place!
And at least we have a banner this time so you people know who we are.

A couple of years ago we had some stick on RS246 number plates to hide our real plates too. Pretty sure Mr T brought these but I'm not sure if he is coming this year.

Mike, Ive bought a set of stick on show plates to place over my real plates... better than nothing I guess.

I have concerns that people might lean/ seat on the car to take photos when I'm not around given that the R8 is a low .... have you had that problem before and how about having a sign on the screen saying " DO NOT TOUCH" ?. lol :bigblink:

I think most people there seem to respect the cars and not touch them. Plus there is always a crowd of other forum guys around on the stand to keep an eye on things.

Yes you are right. I'm very much OCD in detailing my cars and recently just done a full paint correction with ceramic coating so the last thing I want is for some buggers to lean or seat on the car and to cause fine swirl marks on the paint work.

Dave, even though it's ceramic coated, I think it can still pick up swirls IF pressure is applied.

Looking forward to see you and Heff... :bigblink:
