Post by v8 omfg » Fri Jul 24, 2015 7:27 am

I'm looking at doing some little tweaks at MRC
Has anyone had any experience with doing such ?
lots and lots, no time served. It’s gets funnier, from yesteryears cars to ones due in months :piss:

MRC would be the people to ask ;)

Last time I spoke to Doug about it (in passing) he said very few people are touching their B8's - mostly are concerned about warranty issues for minimal gains.
Believe only the man who has nothing to gain from what he says.

The big question is... is the dual clutch gearbox strong enough for the supercharger upgrade.....
Zero Drama

With torque limit I'd guess. What does the S6/7 push out? That's got to be limit.

S6/7 is a book figure of 414hp and MRC have got that upto 500hp and Sportmile (I think) have one at 700hp using RS6 turbos, all on the standard box.

If it's anything like a VW DSG then you can put better clutch packs in it. I imagine that wouldn't be easy but it's been done on R32 turbo upgrades innit. However, apparently a decent DSG/S-Tronic map will increase clutch longevity, clamping force and getting it to handle good power, as Ian has just said.
No matter where you go, there you are.
