I'd be even more wary about using a car VRN as a username.

You are right - you have to be extremely careful what you write nowdays, increasingly so I'd said, especially when your username is possibly traceable (like mine and yours). Tbh I'd be more worried about employers or prospective employers than the police. I know my employer does a load of social media twaddling.

However, as mentioned above, posting mph achieved in forum text is one thing. It's another thing entirely - and absolute stupidity - to do something like the know motorbike rider who posted a fantastic youtube video of him tearing up the country roads, with the video starting and ending facing his garage door......
(he was traced and banned)

There is a story about S4WON but I don't own the VRN, wish i did, would be handy right now.

Yeah yeah, I don't believe you!

Being serious for a moment, this is why I always blank VRNs from pictures. Its a pain to not be able to upload MK Meet pics etc direct from camera phone etc. But safest.

Fontain started wiping the second half of the VRNs on their website around the time I bought my S4 from them, they said they had a plate cloned

I'm surprised someone hasn't been along to teach OP the error of his ways and how bad it is doing 100mph+?

Good luck with the outcome OP.

I was pleasantly surprised by the responses too! Good bunch of guys on this forum. Cheers Chris.

I'm not completely sure whether to fight it 100% pleading not guilty. There's a good chance it'll backfire and a slight chance of getting off. Or plead guilty to exceeding 70, but say I don't think I was doing over 90 and hope he/she sympathises and doesn't completely shaft me.

I'm a wheelchair user so if it comes to it I can say I need the car to get to hospital appointments which is actually true.

Can't believe your pulling the disability card si ;-)

Mate its a tough call, if you plead guilty by post can they still ban you? Somebody mentioned it to me the other day that they couldn't and they'd reject your guilty by post and make you turn up.

Whatever you do, do NOT reel off any of these in court!

[*]I'm very sorry, I was getting anxious about missing my time slot for the eurotunnel, my speed must have crept up while I was concentrating on the road.
[*]Although I put my hands up to the offence and know I shouldn't have been going that fast, I was driving safely and the car is very well maintained with excellent tyres and brakes. (key point is my unlawful actions didn't endanger andybody)
You have to decide whether you want to a) contest that you were not doing 100 mph (hence undertaking) or b) grovel and apologise and put your hand up and hope they are lenient with the points and fine.

My little bro worked out that it's only an athlete's running pace over the speed limit. It's not that bad I should totally use that as a defence!
