Post by danilobandeira » Fri Jul 10, 2015 2:00 am

I need to put some new tires...

Original is dunlop 285 30 21

Pirelli po 107y 295 35 21
Pirelli po 107y ROSSO 295 35 21
Pirelli po 100y ROSSO 285 30 21

Continental 107y 295 35 21

Yokohama 100y advan sport v103 285 30 21

Which is the best decision?

35 i guess it will be more soft to drive
295 i dont know if the tire gets on the bumper when turns left/ride

I would stick with the 285 30 21 standard and out of your selection the Yokos. Michelins PSS would be first choice if available.

Being AWD i'd be tending to stick with OEM tyre sizes.

As above, go for the MPSS as currently by far the best all round road tyre on such cars.

Whatever you do make sure they are round as these give the best Speed. Square ones for traction and breaking and triangular if you like hill climbs

Is Michelin not to thick? Look at this dude with his M3

No rubbing with Audi, check the right size.

Michelin is much better than pirelli. I recently contacted Continental to see if they had any plans to make the ContactSport 6 in a 285/30/21. They said they had to current plans.

No one consider the Michelin Pilot Super Sports and is it really worth going for the RO1?

I'm sure the R01 thing is just a way for tyre manufacturers to make more money. IMO as long as the tyre is a premium brand and the correct size, speed and load rating. It will work fine.
I've never had a problem with any non Audi tyre

They often aren't any different in price.

I think you're going to start seeing this pushed.

If you're running non N rated tyres on a Porsche then you can wave goodbye to related warranty claims and potentially insurance claims.

It technically is a modification from standard spec and therefore your insurer should be consulted anyway.
