Hard wiring a Dash Cam into the B8

Hi guys, just been given a Garmin 20 Dash Cam from a friend who works there and want to get it hard wired in. I have a 2m extension cable with a piggy back fuse like this -



Which fuse do people use for ignition switched power and where is it? Left or right hand dash end?

Thanks in advance guys. Wired one into my Range Rover which was good but left it in when I sold it.

Just a small warning, I was told by my dealer that an hard wiring of kit to the car would invalidate the warranty !

I think that's the point of those piggy-back adapters - you aren't actually cutting/splicing cables or modifying the fuse box. Whether the dealers see it that way is another matter, though.
