Battery Dead

Post by Prawn » Fri Mar 21, 2003 6:40 pm

Car won't bloody start, seems like the battery's dead
If I have to dis-connect the battery to recharge it do I have to do anything specific when i re-connect.

You'll have to reset the clock

The only thing to watch is the throttle body adaption. If it doesn't happen right away then the performance may be affected. It automatically happens when you turn on the ignition (not the starter) and wait for 30s (IIRC). When it happens it's important not to touch any pedals.

So I suggest that you reconnect the battery, turn on the ignition and then set the clock. By the time you've done it, the TBA should have been completed.
