Anyone know this car?

Post by jonnymaz » Tue Jun 09, 2015 9:21 am

Hi, currently looking for a cabriolet and going to see this one:

http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/ ... ?logcode=p

The seller hasn't had it long and bought it privately so wondered if it was known to anyone here?

It had suspension replaced in January 2014 so that should give me peace of mind over future DRC failure!

Don't know the car but the seats look absolutely mint. I mean no wear at all, like they are brand new.

Apparently the seats have been refurbished (not retrimmed, but I believe rubbed down and recoated). I have not seen it yet but sounds like it would be better than the usual wear that 50k miles does!

Fair play, pictures only tell half the story but these look exceptional, I hope they look as good in the flesh.

The air vents and binnacle are different to mine (07 Saloon). Is this a Cabrio thing or did these change during the model's life?

They are for the cab only, the saloon and avant have the rectangular vents and different dial layout.

Is it not just a standard A4 binnacle on the Cab, christ you'd think people would make a effort when writng a advert, hardly write up of the centuary there, and at least get the rust from brake discs.

AFAIK the RS4 cab uses RS4 instruments in an RS4 cab housing. A4 instruments would have the wrong RPM range, the wrong speedo calibration and the wrong DIS coding without the trip computer.
