RS6 gremlins, pls help

Post by gorun01 » Sat Jun 06, 2015 6:28 am

I have a friend that recently bought a late 2013 pre fl in Panther fully loaded bar ramics. He has had some issues with it and the local dealer don't seem to be very knowledgable and willing to cooperate. Please have a look at the problems and chime in if you have had experience or know the solution.

- pretty strong fuel smell- comes and goes, my friend does not have a clue when and why. Dealer says the car has had a fuel line replaced under a recall and that all RS6s have a fuel smell from time to time
- faint grinding noise from steering column - same response from dealer
- metaling clunk from boot area - happens very rarely sound like a piece of metal pipe is loose in the boot area - no clue here
- strong vibration of the brake pedal - happens when brakes are warmed up and being used - conclusion: warped disks which they refuse to change under warranty because they claim the disks are a consumable
- some knock knock from the rear suspension (DRC car) and an oily rear damper - dealer: oily damper is ok as long as the drc hydraulic fluid pressure is not below a certain threshold dunno if they measured it at all.
- a jerk or more like a small pause and a lunge forward when the car is downshifting in S mode. Especially noticeable in the 3rd to 2nd down-change. He was told they have a software update for that.

Any help is appreciated, Thanks

I would return it and tell them to stick it up their ass. That is unbelievable if there fobbing him off like that he must have a bad relationship with them?

Its not an ex-Audi car, it was bought privately. The dealer in question is in Bulgaria. Zero prior relationship with them.

Mines a 2015 FL. I've done 3000 miles now and I've never smelt any fuel vapours and imho I don't see why you would. Be a bit scary I might say. I'd be taking that car straight back.

that seems like a lot of problems for a fairly new car, if i may ask, what is the mileage? i think it is either that the car has been terribly abused by its previous owner or it is one of those lemon car that somehow escape the quality checks, though i really doubt it...more likely the first one...then again if the car is under warranty most of those issues should've been fixed, if it is in Bulgaria, your friend should contact Audi Germany if the dealer there refuses to sort out the issues or even better make a trip to Germany to an Audi dealer and have them to fix it right there, the warranty is world-wide applicable and any approved dealer should do it as they're billing Audi Germany for anything which the factory warranty covers so i am sure they'll be more than happy to get some money into their accounts for the repairs.
