Right chaps the date is nearly upon us. For once I feel very unprepared as work and life have been so busy I’ve really not done very much at all but I do have a couple of weeks to sort things out. I came back from India on Saturday to find all my tickets waiting for me, and grandstand tickets for the first time too.

So come on, who is going, when are you going and coming back and where are you staying?

We’re heading out Friday morning and coming back on Monday, the 3 car convoy will consist of my C6 RS6, a C7 Biturbo diesel and a Panamera. We are staying in the Pistonheads Bleu Nord site and we’ll be right down in the bottom right corner of the site nearest the ferris wheels as far as the BN site goes. At night it will be hard to miss us as our pitch will be surrounded by multicolour fairy lights and our basecamp shelter will be “mood lit” with LED floodlights. I’m also toying with taking the projector again to watch the race in camp but I’m not sure I can be bothered ;)

Can’t wait, bring on the race………

Getting the circa 23:00 hours ferry on Thurs, staying at Beasujour, wasn't quick enough for Bleu Nord. Will be in my C6 RS 6 (with MRC & Le Mans Stickers on it) and my mate in his dakkar yellow E46 M3.

Shame you aren’t closer. What time will you get to your campsite if you leave a that time, sounds like a bit of a painful trip down?

I need to sort out some Stickers still, did MRC gift you some big Stickers?

To be honest, haven't really thought about it. Just didn't want to miss all the action on Friday or turn up during 'mad Friday', and Thurs evening was the earliest we could all make it down. When will you make it to site for, and which ferry will you be catching? It's not set in stone so could amend if you have a better plan.

Doug was going to sort me some, but we both forgot when the car was collected from Banbury so I've got the MRC Tuning logo added on the stickers I've had made up - a friend is doing them for me as I'm letting him put his company logo on.

We're on the 8.50am tunnel on Friday morning. Taking the tunnel to speed up the journey, we should get there about 3pm and we seem to have avoided the Mad Friday issues on previous years but we did get stuck in 45mins of Mad Friday traffic last year which was annoying as we were only a mile from Bleu Nord.

If we can't manage any kind of convoy this year I'm planning on seeing if I can organise a group of RS246 members to go next year so a bigger RS convoy may be on the cards then :)

See, I arrived there on Sat AM in 2014, and promised myself I wouldn't miss the goings on of Friday for 2015 so wanted to be there quite early, the drivers parade isn't until 6PM I believe, mad Friday is what 11-12? Wanted to experience the atmosphere of that but not be driving through it!

I've done the tunnel the last two trips I've been abroad in the C6, then always stop at the services straight after for food/fresh air, prefer the ferry where I can do all of that and then just press on through France!

We'll have to exchange numbers before the trip, RS246 convoy next year sounds great and just reminded me to better get some RS246 Stickers on the car too.

I’ve still not done the drivers parade. AS we’ve always arrived on Friday with the intention to go but when it comes down to it we just setup camp and crack open a cold one, and possibly do the pit walk if we can be bothered. Next year I might try to get out there on Thursday but I was really constrained by leave this years as I’ve changed jobs.

I’ll PM you my number, if you’re down our way or if we’re over your way I’ll give you a shout.

Next year we need to get a bigger RS246 contingent, I’ll happily arrange it for the group.

If anyone is getting a midnight ferry/tunnel. I'm meeting Drybeer in a C7 RS 6 around 1am somewhere in Calais.

Rob - Number saved, will see you there.

Really would love to head to Le Mans next year. Rs246 convoy would be brilliant. One for the back burner! Enjoy lads!

Yeah ditto and I can recommend downloading an app called Avertinoo which we use religously in France. It's a community based spped trap spotting network, very handy! :<beep>_you:

Im coming down on the Friday, catching the 6:30am train, so will keep my eyes peeled for you ! We're staying on a new site called Eppinettes, which is next to Houx annex. I'm in convoy with a 330d msport, and a C7 3.0tdi. I'm hoping to have some fun with some more powerful motors enroute. I'll download that app I think !!
We are part of a 35 strong group, the rest are going on the Wednesday to set up (result!!) and we'll follow down Friday. I'll post a pic up on Wednesday nifht when the Stickers have been applied so you know what to look out for. mind you'll you'll hear the EBwerks well before you see me !!

Do not risk it. They hide and you will not see them. You will cough up!
