Soon the wait will be a distant memory. All will be forgiven the first time you put your foot down.
I'm really liking the contrasting interior. I'm gutted I didn't go for it myself now.
They are an awesome car all round. Hopefully you can get your hands on it as soon as.

Nice! The wait must be tortuous though.

It'll be fine. Light or dark they'll still get crap on it. One of mine was sick in the back the other week. I've never moved so fast to clean something in my life. Had it valeted the next day and all is well.
My brother in law has a light interior in he's Range Rover. Only issue he had was the dye when wearing dark jeans leaves a slight stain on the seat. I think he's just got some leather wipes he keeps in the car. Soon cleans it off. I told him to get the misses to wash all his Jean properly.

Unfortunately there's nowt you can do to stop the dye running out of jeans and eventually it adds up and you can't clean it out. The price to pay, unfortunately. I looked at a C6 waaaay back with silver interior, it had been scuffed in the back and it really showed. Put me right off. If you didn't have to sit on it its be nice!

Haha!! I'll carry an emergency vomit cleaning kit with me!! I've got it booked in next Sunday to have have all the chrome wrapped in high gloss black including black badges, at the same time there some protection stuff going on on the interior and gtechniq or something similar on the outside. I suppose it's going to get grubby but I'll start with good intentions!! :biggrin3:

Best bet! Mines still in a seat. The detritus that accumulates is mind boggling. There's no puking and no eating in the car though!

Wait till the little one gets mobile buddy and has an answer for everything!! That's when the problems really start, I have two boys 8 & 10 I keep threatening boarding school but I'd rather buy a car !

Congrats indeed... Have you (or anyone in this exciting position) organised a protection detail before collection? I'm considering it if I can manage the logistics and timings.

Have any found the paintwork has suffered in transit?
RS4 B5. Where it all started.
RS6+ Never to be replaced.
Replaced by: 997 Turbo. Didn't like.
Replaced by RS6. I like(d).
Land Rover Defender. Not as nippy.
Back with C6 RS6
And again C7 RS6

I had a recent car (SQ5) detailed (gtechniq) prior to collection.

Although it worked out fine, its not ideal. Logistically its difficult and its better for the detailer to work in their own controlled environment. Particularly with the longer cure times needed for products like EXO and Crystal Serum and the like.

Frankly the few hours/days after collection and before detail wont cause any issue a decent detailer cant sort out, if any at all.

Just make sure that the dealer doesn't valet it ! (although, if they do it can be dealt with - as above)

It should be clean enough to check the panels once the wrap is removed so that they can PDI it properly and if not I would wash it myself on their premises prior to collection, armed with snow foam, two buckets and a few 5 litre canisters of de-ionised water in a garden sprayer. (possibly some wax/tar remover - although this is less of a problem nowadays i think).

Anyway that's what I think I will do when mine arrives, despite how ridiculous my wife think I am !

Car looks fantastic btw parmd - cant wait !

My SQ5 is panther - i love it (if a bit unforgiving)- but have gone daytona this time on the rs6 - never had anything other than black cars up until this one, thought it was time for a change and in London wanted it to be a little more discreet and a little more like any other a6. Although I do like daytona a lot too!
