Neue Mann mit einem Audi

Post by R1nse » Wed May 06, 2015 7:26 pm

Hello everybody,

Firstly great forum, the "guide to buying" was very helpful and most other things have been a great insight. I hope to be able to contribute in future.

So two weeks ago after months of searching for what has seemed like an eternity I finally got my hands on a Mugello Blue saloon with buckets and a flat bottom steering wheel. I feel like Toad of Toad Hall around town, "poop poop, coming through", just, I've got a smugger grin slapped on my face.

I've owned various gti's and a couple of different audis in the past, the Rs is really in a different league!

Pics were not taken by myself, they're the work of the garage's photographer.

Hope I got this right, first post and on my phone

and welcome to the worlds best forum IMO !!

That is a beaut, Mugello is one of the nicest colours on the B7, very popular on the C5 RS6 but it just doesn' :nogarors4: t sit well n them, but on yours, it just looks fantastic !

Looks lovely congratulations.

My favourite colour but couldn't find an bread-van in it.

Welcome.

Please tell me Sterling let you look through all the paperwork for the car? I went to look at an RS4 with them last year when I was looking and the car was a nail (4 on the limit tyres, disks were shot, seat bolster knackered etc). The wide boy 'innit bruv' bloke who was running the show wouldn't show me any of the service paperwork or old MOTs for the car (flat out refused). I walked as it was a proper dodgy outfit.....
CURRENT: Montecarlo Blue Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifolglio, 2.9ltr bi-turbo, 510bhp
PREVIOUS: Volvo V60 Polestar, build number 149/700 worldwide - 3ltr straight 6 turbo. 350bhp remapped to 400bhp. Only one of 120 in the UK
PREVIOUS: Misano red B7 saloon, stage 2 map to 425bhp, manifold flap delete, KW V3 coilovers.

This.

I was looking for my RS4 and spoke to Sterling about a Saloon they had - pretty much the same response as mustdash had so I never even made the journey...

I also called them about a Daytona saloon they had in stock several months ago. I got a horrible feeling from the geezer and soon ended the call. Hope you had a better experience than me anyway.

Hell of a drop - to do that there must some margin in it and for a very good reason...

Thanks for the warm welcome and kind words guys. Yeah I love the Mugello!

I did read a couple of poor reviews for Sterling, however I found them to be pretty decent. The car was honestly described, and when I went to see it I was pleasantly surprised. 77,000, 2 previous owners plenty of invoices and 8 Audi stamps in the book. Tyres almost brand new matching michelin pilots.

Not a clue how many of these are about, only seen one other in the past year around where I live.

There's a few bits that need sorting, it's not due a service but it's going to get one, front bumper and bonnet respray, get rid of the precats and possibly have a milltek and decoke with the aim of going stage 2.
