I'd be up for it guys! Though I think new springs and arbs before I go! Plus proper tyres.

Yeah, 11-14th. There's quite a few of us going and the house is already booked up so we can't really change the date. I would have liked to go round with you in the 996 tho!

Hang around a couple of weeks there! Would be cool
Sorry mate, wife's got plans for my birthday (14th) that weekend
I'm tempted to try and persuade her that it's a good idea for me to put on the weekend and stay for the week to do the dn track day Wednesday and Thursday, my mates going and thinks it's completely different without any traffic!

Re: Going back to the Ring
Anyone heading over in August? I'm looking at weekend of 29/30th August (driving over on 28th, driving back 31st). I've not been since March so the wait is agonizing.

Re: Going back to the Ring
apart from once last Sept I have always been really lucky with traffic. we were there in April and the track was really quiet, i did a couple of laps where i only saw 2-3 other cars in an entire lap. just pot luck i guessShinobi675 wrote:Hang around a couple of weeks there! Would be cool

Re: Going back to the Ring
I tend to be one of the first on in the mornings which helps - 8am starts (especially on a sunday!) tend to make for a quiet track. Downside is of course it can be a little more slippery with dew etc.toyneg wrote:apart from once last Sept I have always been really lucky with traffic. we were there in April and the track was really quiet, i did a couple of laps where i only saw 2-3 other cars in an entire lap. just pot luck i guessShinobi675 wrote:Hang around a couple of weeks there! Re: Going back to the Ring
I always say I'm going to be in the weight for the moustache to move the barrier at 8am, but then when it comes down to getting up I roll over for "5 more minutes"....
This time though.... I want a decent lap in the morning with no traffic. Apart from the gt3rs's that will I'm sure move me over...

Re: Going back to the Ring
good work Ross - my first lap ever was in drizzle and light mist at 8am, i watched the go pro footage last night and it was pretty slow but i was still overtaking things - left my 2 mates for dustRossDagley wrote:Real men wait to be first out when it's snowing...
