Aftermarket Warranties - Worthless or not?

Hi Guys,

I've had quotes between £460 and £1165 for a year's cover on an RS4. The cheapest (from a company called click4warranty) even claims to cover wear and tear.

What's the general verdict on aftermarket warranties for performance Audis? Do they actually pay out? Or not worth the paper they are written on?

Any recommendations?

The usual response is use the audi aftermarket one (mondial) or dont bother. Some have good experience with others, some dont. I use mondial myself

I have one through WMS Group/VGS. I got it at cost price when I purchased the car. So far it's been a bag of <beep>, claims process appears woefully complicated although not had the pleasure of actually claiming yet and they won't cover main dealer labour rates which I find somewhat annoying.

I only bought the product since I found out the DRC history on mine was a little shaky (wasn't backed up with receipts). I think going forward and after this years warranty has expired, I will just keep a slush fund in a savings account to bail me out should any larger bills hit me.

Does anyone have a warranty from the Quentin Wilson advertised bunch? This is the one he apparently 'designed himself'. Would be interesting to know whether they are as good as they claim on the telly.
