Wow. I did not expect that, that's for sure. I tip my hat to you fella, certainly not letting it hold you back! :beerchug:

What modifications to the bike and car have you made if you don't mind me asking? Pardon my naivety.

No worries :) , I didn't even think the bike was possible early on, but for riding on track it's really simple, just an electronic gear changer (up/down buttons on handlebars and a big solenoid actuating the gear lever). I get on the bike while it's on the paddock stand, someone supports the bike as it comes off the stand and basically just pull away when ready. As soon as the bike's rolling it's easy to balance, so I do my laps and when i come back in there's a very trusting friend stood waiting to grab the front of the bike, or can just kinda find a wall to stop against if they haven't seen you coming in. I usually do a fair few track days a year on the bike, I wanted to start racing but as I work full time I can't risk injuring myself or I could be out of a job. Edit: forgot to say vecro and bicycle toe-clips on boots/pegs and velcro straps holding knees in place... that's kind of important lol.

The car's easy since it's an auto, just push/pull hand controls. It makes it a bit more challenging to drive smoothly as you're primarily only steering with your left hand and the right hand is pre-occupied with the brake/throttle lever. I'm quite happy with how smooth I've managed to get though, just not as easy. The nice thing is it just unbolts if I ever part with the car, and an able bodied person can drive with the pedals as normal.

That's awesome. Thanks for the info.

Love hearing stories like this although it does make me feel like a bit of a wimp.

Cheers. Not really, where there's a will there's a way and all, if you were in my shoes you'd be doing the same ;)

Yep, all set mate, and I've got your number cheers.
I'm leaving roughly the same time as you I think, so I might see you at the eurotunnel before we go over, if not I'll see you sat  I might try to get in a sneaky few laps in friday evening if I'm not ruined from the drive over.

And yet with all that gear you're still cornering with your knee down in your avatar.

Not a bad idea but they want me there 45mins before and I don't want to try my luck with traffic (they want to get disabled cars on first so they can help in case of emergency, I think it's to use us as a crumple zone personally :P).. I'll wait on the other side for ya :)
