Hi

The Bank selective allocation of air is also continued in the air filter box.

not sure on why the bank selective blanking of the air intake.
the firing order is 1–5–4–8–6–3–7–2.
the 8-6 and 3-7 share the same bank and if the intake is blanked off then you may have more air stealing from near cylinders.

some manufacturers with separate air intakes like ferrari have a firing order that doesnt overlap on one bank.
for the 360 its 1-8-3-6-4-5-2-7

Hi

In fact, engine the cylinder bank changes the ignition, at the Ferrari V8.
The Audi R8 V8 looks for this purpose worse, but an experiment is it worth.
The performance and torque curve will show, whether one complete separation
of the cylinder banks, here a degree of efficiency increase brings.

Important for me is, that the swinging tube (Intake manifold ) forced induction functions
correctly and also a resonance charging is carried out via the separate air filters.

Hi All

The intake side was treated enough and this time the exhaust port side.

Here I show the outlet port series with gasket, exhaust big passage with seal serie,
then to the exhaust manifold of the Audi RS5 and also the series exhaust manifold.

On the exhaust port size the RS5 you can when RS4 B7 or R8 V8 unfortunately not expand,
because the compressed air duct for the secondary air had no more wall

Hi

Cylinder head two is finished. After 12 hours of work, the entrances are now in contour and finish, ready

And here the view from direction the pistons into the entrances.
Man sees now beautiful as in a big way in the inlet Port became and
how much material still from the swinging-tubes must out be gotten!

Nice work Tom... when will it be put back together again?.
Too much power is barely enough.

Hi

the assembly it is out carried.

The inlet manifold must still be adjusted that fits it perfectly.

So friends of tuning.

Since engine power (509PS) is achieved without sharp camshafts, was planed a refacing the camshafts.

There are not many people, who can regrind for the drag lever drive, a new camshaft form.

Which is now no longer necessary, since a sharper drag lever via other valve timing with more valve lift can be obtained.

The 530PS come within reach :rocker:

Yes good for you BUT more cam lift and timing will move the power band even further up the rev range making it more un drivable. My R8 GT is pushing out 612PS/606nm with an exhaust, air filters and custom ECU map and remains totally drivable.

Hat off to you Tom for tuning the V8 to the max but my opinion remains.... you would be better off tuning a V10 instead.

Good luck
