Le mans 24

Post by Tomson » Wed Mar 30, 2005 10:31 am

Right - just booked the ferries, hotel, and tickets.

We are going portsmouth - le harve. Leaving on the Thursday and getting the 8:30 ferry.

Anyone else going that route? so far four of us booked. My RS and the Healey.

Cannot wait - first time we have stayed in a hotel though, will find out name from my spa, but somewhere in North Le mans.

Anyone with any hospitality to share, always try and blag my way in but get refused for smelling of vomit and sweat.

I might be Tom.

I was going across on the bike but my mate has not got back with arrangements yet so I'm guessing its not happening.
I have a second option but still working on the details. Looks like it will be camping though.

I usually go with a bunch of mates. Being the disorganised lot that we are, we usually end up scrambling around for last minute (read v.expensive) tunnel tickets cos the ferries are all booked. Three of us now have Mini Cooper S Works's and one of the others has suggested making it a 'Mini Adventure'. 'Major Adventure To Osteopath' more like.

Strictly no birds allowed Martyn..... Mind you, looking at todays News of The World, I could probably find room for the odd footballers au-pair...!

5th time this year!
The 10.00 chunnel, Thursday.. a nice leisurly drive down to La Chartre sur Loire then the fun begins (or maybe earlier!)

Myself (with passenger) in the 'Estate', 2 mates with passengers (sorry extra balast!) one in a 1967 911, the other in a lightweight GT3 mk1 (He is still convinced my station wagon is just for groceries and push chairs)

I am looking to have a stickers made up "The car behind is a Porsche" and "Eats Ferraris" anyone got any suggestions?

The Mulsanne's a bit of a hoot on the Friday. Anyone else wallowing in petrolhead land then?

By the way, if you fancy a good belly ache log onto www.sniffpetrol.com. Worse still check out www.beaterz.com!
