How do you end up with that wheel when it's not even on the options list?

It used to be an option on pre facelift cars, heated as well if I remember correctly. It's does have ceramics to make up for it. Quite a bit of car for the money.

Yea, 9 months old, 2.5k miles, list price must have been pushing £100k. Big drop.

Yeah, otherwise it's been well specced. How much of a ball ache is it to replace it with the appropriate wheel?

Did the pre fl cars have that gear leaver too? I spot it's an 'OE' reg car, so I wonder if it has something to do with being one of those press cars that has options you can't physically choose from the config, but are added by the factory to show their functions.

Yes, there was another gear lever option, though can't recall what, have a brochure somewhere.

I know this opinion will find little sympathy here, but....

That wheel has one major thing going for it. It's round. Frankly, I find twirling the RS6 wheel around in a car park a real annoyance. The flat bottom serves no real purpose as the RS6 is not a racing car. All that happens is the wheel rim is 'in the wrong' position as you feed the wheel through during tight maneouvres. I find flat-bottomed wheels on road cars an affectation and more than a little pretentious. Even a mini roundabout takes your hands into flat-bottom territory as the steering ratio is quite high (as you would expect on a road car).

Flatbottomed wheel looks great, but I do find it a bit of a pain in tight spots... I much preferred the round wheel in my A6 TDI.

The Walton Audi RS6, looks a great car none-the-less. Would it put off potential buyers without the flat bottom wheel? Not me.

?? How can you not need to use a whole quarter of the wheel's circumference when maneouvring into parking spaces and doing three-point turns?

Errrm, you turn the wheel until your arms near cross-over, the 'top' arm always has 'right of way' and the 'bottom' arm comes off placing the hand back at the same position. Rinse. Repeat. Have you ever had track tuition?
