I went Harold Wood when I was looking, bunch of dicks tbh. They don't value customers, ended up buying from their other branch in Colchester. Same car, 3k cheaper. Go to Colchester and ask if they have one in group stock, they will sort it. And they gave me more money for my px

Expensive price and poor customer service. I would move on and find something else.

Was trying to do a deal on this car week or two offered 53k for car cash turned it down and said if you looking for 6995 discount maybe look for older car with more miles on and look now drop price now 59.995 to 55.495 so that's 4.500k off more than likely gone for it if said come up on my offer. I guess trying to get in year end figures. for price drop. well done Audi Romford :jump_clap:

Cash is no longer king in these scenarios. Offer to take up the biggest finance deal you can, and they'll bite your hand off as their bonus scheme is weighted towards it and Audi will contribute too. You can always just phone up a week later and pay it off

Surprising to me that dealers are still putting up RS4's and 5's are such high prices. Was at a dealer the other day who had a £70k RS5 on the lot.

I have looked into the B8 but with prices as they are, RS6 is much more appealing, especially given the B8 platform is soon to be replaced.

My B8 would have been c£61.5k list, but with discount I paid c£52k. Spec a C7 to the equivalent as my B8 and it would cost me £84k list. Discount available on the C7 is currently circa £10k, so that would make it £74k.

My maths isn't that great, but I make that nearly £22k difference, or another 40%+.

% residually the C7 is beaten by the B8, so I'm struggling to see where you see the appeal based on value alone, especially as the C7 platform is now 4yrs old, so is hardly a spring chicken itself.

I see the appeal based on the power, size etc, but going on finances it's worse value than a B8.

;)

bare with me...I appreciate this is simplified a bit...

My spec RS6 was also 84k. You can get over 12k off that at the minute(orange wheels price), meaning you'd pay £72k. On a 3 yr, 10k miles deal, GFV is £43k. Interest aside, it's dropped £29k from what you paid for it(£72k) after 3 yrs and dropped £41k from list price.

For the RS4 Audi finance are showing a figure of £28k after 3 yrs, 10k miles for RS4, so it's dropped £26k from the £52k you paid for it and £33.5k off the list price.

So over 3 years, the difference isn't that much as you would think. I know you're borrowing more so there's a more interest and there's other things to consider which increases that amount but the large discounts on the RS6 make it a lot more affordable than it appears when you first look at it and see the difference between list prices. Also, your RS4 has 4k worth of options, RS6 7k worth of options.

Also also, the arrival of the B9 has to impact the residuals of the B8. That was my initial point really, the RS5 has been out ages and they're still putting them up at crazy money(70k) when the platform is EOL.

RS4s are indeed going into freefall. GFV £28k after 3 yrs and 30,000 miles is pretty shocking and doesn't instill much confidence. Smudges is 30,000 miles now and 3 years old in September, I should damn well hope the trade in price is well above £30k?!

As 'rspj' mentions, the windscreen prices are reducing like a cash register in reverse. And lets not forget the dealers are all in competition with each other - as unreg / pre-reg / 'demo' stock prices fall, other dealers will have to reduce theirs too. Its a game of musical chairs - they want to sell the cars for good money but FAST - they don't want to be left with cars after other dealers have sold theirs with the prices the cars will sell for falling by four figures a month.....

Good on you 'rspj' for bidding 7k below asking. Sounds like you've bought another car now - the one you linked may end up selling for less than 53k!

Interesting sums Markwm - proving that if you can resist the options list, the C7 make sense! Real sums - not just man maths!

Yes, I was offered significantly better than £30k from 3 different dealers in the end. When I landed the car, the one thing that made me wince was the GFV Audi placed on it. But its balanced out pretty much the way I needed / wanted, so the 'bang for buck' has been worth every mile.
