Out of our lot, it would've easily been bubblers6's 720ps C6
He was running low 11's from memory

Fastest car I saw was this bright green boy mobile running low 10's

Hey Bubbles - have you put a 'badboy' mod on your headlights?
No matter where you go, there you are.

I got 12.58s @ 112.5mph, pretty much just rolled away from the line though, room for improvement.

Bubbles C6 did really well, it's a shame some of the RS4's were struggling with grip off the line.

Hi chaps. I had a good day, it would have been a great day had it not been so very busy. Like the rest of you I only managed 3 runs and messed up my starts every time which I'm very annoyed about. I left the timing sheet in my car but I think my best time was 12.2. Anyway, it was a learning experience.

Great to meet a few of you especially Dave who loaned my mate his helmet (sounds dodgy) :)

Let's go again on a quiet day, I'd love to get 10 runs in and feel a little less pressure on the start line.

Here's a video of my (poor) efforts!

For the first run that was impressive  my start had some wheel-spin as I launched to high at 4.5/5K - we need to go again and get some more runs ;-)

I think the drag strip highlighted a weekness in the DSG
If you used launch control, you bogged down in wheel spin (maybe better on a warm day/better tyres)
If you just planted your foot, then you've got a reaction time from where the revs rise to the clutch engaging, in which that time you're creaping forward so trip the light and start your time
I did 13.1 @ 110 from memory for my best, but got left on the line by both an Impreza and a boyed up focus RS, both of which I passed before the finish - Silas got a video of me being embarrassed by the Subaru I think ;)
Would love to go again and get a few more runs in to try and get the start dialled a bit better

I got one run in, with the reaction time of my grandma, and she passed away years ago, I would have loved to have done another but it was crazy busy, with a 2 hour wait. Drive to Cherwell was a laugh with Bazza an russ in his merc.

Hey Bazza thanks it's good fun ;-) yeah I have a MRC Stage 2 and all my mods in the signature.

There's a few dates in May which look promising as they have no major events either side.

Sat 16th, Run What Ya Brung ,Public Track Day. http://www.RWYB.com All Cars & Bikes
Sun 17th, Peak Performance Test & Tune Day. Run What Ya Brung open test day with fully prepped track and maximum track time for all serious enthusiasts (I think from memory this is limited to a max number so it's more expensive)

I wish I had taken my old b7 on the strip I had every thing done to mine that gavia has done, just I had the JHM inlet spacers on too, I think with the manual box you you can play around with the revs for launch, with the dsg your fooked, unless you use launch then I think like graham said maybe the temperate of the track might help of it's warmer??
I'm turning into sakimino, oh god help please

Sakimino's monitor would be completely spoozed over upon seeing this thread.
