As the C6 is now a few years old and there seem to be plenty of tuned cars about, how are they holding up with the mods? Are gearbox issues etc common? Or is it all pretty robust stuff?

Can a non Audi dealer arrange for an Audi warranty to be added to their car for sale? I have heard that they expect Audi to provide a health check and collect payment and that's the only requirement. Any truth in this?

The Audi extended warranty can only be purchased by the keeper of the vehicle, it can not be purchased by a dealer and it can only be transferred from keeper to keeper, so if the car passes through the hands of a dealer whatever period remaining on the warranty is void.
The automated Audi warranty system seemingly decides whether your vehicle is eligible or not from a simple VRM search, I'm guessing full dealer history and has been seen recently. Mine is eligible so I have no experience of what is required if the computer says no.

Thanks mate. I spoke to a garage with a car for sale at one point. Purhaps they knew the owner or were the owners. Or more likely where just saying whatever they thought it took to make a sale.
