The "B8 RS4 on Instagram" picture thread

Post by kmpowell » Tue Mar 17, 2015 1:56 pm

Mooching through the RS4 hashtag this weekend brought up a load of 'stanced' (they're certainly not to my taste, I really don't get why!) B8's at Ultimate Dubs. It also brought up lots of others, so I thought it might be interesting to have a thread where people can share pics they've seen on there. I'll get the ball rolling with a few I've spotted:

Perhaps it's because I'm fast approaching 40, but I never really understood the whole 'stance' thing on modern cars
I mean, why would you take a car with perfectly set up suspension and geometry and slam it to the floor so it handles badly and can barely be driven on a normal road

Golfather's your boy when it comes to slammed RS cars. He's always posting them up

Not that there's anything wrong with them, they're just not to my taste

Old VW's etc maybe suit it a bit better, simply as they handled and rode crap from the factory, so you're not making it any worse :)

Gone - 09/14 B8 RS4 Avant - Misano Red/Ceramics (Daily drive & kids taxi)

Current - 04/18 B9 Rs4 Nardo Grey
ZX10R Race bike - 210bhp and a few skid marks on the seat ;)

Agree 100%. I'm 37 and have spent/wasted thousands over the years on 'modding', but the whole 'stancing' thing I just don't get. Speaking of which...

Best thing I ever did to my b7 was rip the crap DRC out and fit coilovers and arbs
Transformed the ride,if the car is totally slammed then it is obviously going to affect the ride quality, however if it's done properly it works well.

One of the cars has smoked rear lights, whilst that particular car looks a bit OTT I would like a subtle smoked effect on the rear lights just to tone them down a little, does anybody know how this is done properly?

Questionable 'home smoke' B7's
BMW M2 Comp
RS4 Supercharged
Current Abarth 500c Two tone Grey and Mint - a modified go-cart.
Current T5 180 bi-turbo - modified, Reimo pop top, ABT kit, Caravelle 7 seats, going on 'air' this summer
Gone RS4 B7 Avant MRC, MK5 R32, 205 GTI, Mk1 golfs... plus some other poor souls

Air ride is the thing. Thinking of getting new wheels like these Rotiforms
