RS4 wheels

Post by CliveH » Mon Mar 28, 2005 12:46 am

I'm after some 18" RS4 wheels for my (B5) S4.
I realise that the offset of the original RS4 wheels does not allow for the fitment of these and will therefore need to buy "replicas". I also believe that the TT wheels, which look identical to me, probably dont fit because they have a different PCD?
The prices seem to vary widely from under £500 for 4 including tyres, to over £1,200 at somewhere like AMD.
I'm sure it's a case of "pay for what you get" but I would appreciate any advice from those of you having experience with these or similar.

Thanks for that.
Actually, I'm torn between the RS4 and RS6 replicas but I'm going to go for the 18" and maybe lower the suspension a little to compensate, but my main point is why such a variation in prices and where are the best deals for decent quality.

Take a look on e-bay , the main diffarance seems to be with the tyres you get , good tyres cost alot more , some will sell just the rims so you can get your own choice of tyre . I think most are selling rims that are made in italy , they seem to be allright . I got mine s/hand for £900 with conti sport contact's , the guy paid £1500 from wheelbace . After 6 months of hard use they are still ok .

Hey Grizz, do you have any pics of your S4 with 19" RS6 reps that you could post? I would be VERY keen to see what that looks like...pretty awesome, I should imagine... 8)

A difference between originals and replicas is that the replicas generally are a lot heavier in weight.
