The PS2 can go on-line for a number of games but they pulled this functionality from GT4 just before release. However they did include the ability to play on a local area network (LAN).

Fortunately some people have got together and worked out a solution using the LAN ability but over the web. I've registered but yet to try it.

I found the details from HERE

p.s. Stock M5 down to 7:48
B8 A4 Avant quattro
Honda CBR1100XX Super Blackbird
Suzuki GSXR1000 (Track bike)
B6 S4 (AMD Stage 3) - GONE

All sounds like too much hassle that does - half the night too set it up and the other half trying to find your mates....best get posting some times up I guess.

Any one else worked out the easy way to earn 300k in 10 minutes yet?

Here's all my runs. Top S4 is mine, other S4 and all others are as they come out the tin.

Anyone who has PGR2 able to comment on the differences vs GT4 for Nurburg? I've got a PS2 and XBOX but not sure whether to get GT4 since no online play available...

Cheers but see the pic above. It's down to 7'43. :P

I reckon if I piece it all together that a 7'35 is possible. The 7'43 did include a couple of, ahem, 'incidents'

Thats the one Scotty, just keep re-entering them both and clearing your trophies in order to win the car again (and again, and again, and again if you really have too..).

Yet to play in the arcade mode or with standard production cars around the ring, I usually have to wait till Thursday night to play when I have a session with the lads (then get moaned at by them about takin 8 minutes over it in some old dog). We normally do timed laps in 'free run' in GT mode then compete agaisnt the fastest ghost of the evening. My fastest lap so far is with the unmodified Chaparrel 2J race car 70'

- 6'35.048
(and room for improvement)

I know it's not the same thing as the running the production cars but challenging non the less.

Get posting your best times up peps and with what car, lets see who is the real 'king of the ring', if you can save your ghosts even better, you just never know when we may all be together in the same room as a playstation

hehehe I have only gone into GT mode to rack up some licences. I haven't even bought my first car. I've done about 20 laps of the 'ring and may be 4 or 5 elsewhere.

It's quite useful. I've found two areas where I can improve my real world lines!

Best place to improve all your lines would be in the licensing area in GT mode. There is a challenge in one of the international licences where you have to follow a pace car for a full lap of the ring within a given time but without hittting or passing him or you leaving the circuit. He always takes the racing line, so if you were prepared to sit and be patient you can learn quite alot from it.

I'll guess I'll find it soon. I've done half of International 1 so it can't be far away.
