Re: Settling down for the long wait
Good news mate!
Not had a build date yet but only ordered on Saturday. (14/2)
How long after ordering did you get your build date?

Re: Settling down for the long wait
Thanks mate. Date being moved forward was a real surprise. Called today and wanted to change to an exclusive colour and got told it was too late. Saves me a few bobnastro azzurro wrote:Good news mate!

I ordered mine on the 2nd Feb and got my first build week 20 a week later. Now its bought forward to week 12 which is what Ive seen some others on here have got.
If you dont hear from your dealer by the end of this week give them a call. Ask for the comm/order number so you can call audi uk to get updates yourself.

Had the Nardo as my screen saver and it slowly dug away at me over the week so was going to go Nardo.

Ha, well it's saved you £2k hasn't it, so it's not that bad.miatang wrote:lolkmpowell wrote:Go on then, what were you going to go for?miatang wrote:Called today and wanted to change to an exclusive colour and got told it was too late.

Given you're now non spec changeable, what was your final spec, did the HHA make it?

Suzuka's still my favourite of the standard colours. In fact, I see pictures of my old car, and wish I'd gone the same again sometimesmiatang wrote:Sukuza Grey

FWIW, I have HHC, and never use it

Funny that. I use it all the time, but then I'm stop start around town, where as you're just overtaking tractors all day aren't you?Graeme4130 wrote:FWIW, I have HHC, and never use it

It's all torque talk.

Re: Settling down for the long wait
If it's the same as in the Mercedes , I used to use it all the time.
Really missed it when I got the Range Rover.
Can anyone confirm it's the same as a Merc ??

Nice spec, would have loved to have seen Nardo but Suzukas not gonna disappoint,
now the wait.
Re: Settling down for the long wait
Haven't a clue sadly. The Audi one is pretty simple. When engaged the car applies the handbrake once you are stationary & the gearbox appears to go to neutral. Your feet can be off both pedals without an issue. As soon as you touch the loud pedal, handbrake goes off & the gearbox engages.... I think thats about it.nastro azzurro wrote:If it's the same as in the Mercedes , I used to use it all the time.

Re: Settling down for the long wait
Thanks Smudge !
So the car does it itself when it senses its stopped ?
In the Merc you push hard on the brake pedal when you stop then you can take your feet off the pedals. Press the gas and off you go again. Simple ! No button to press to engage it ; it worked all the time. Pretty neat feature.
Didn't make up for the stupid gear selection lever on the steering column though

Re: Settling down for the long wait
No need to press hard on the brakes at all. In fact thats the only time the HHA is a pita. Sometimes it will engage when you are crawling very slowly, or when parking, then its a PITA!!

Re: Settling down for the long wait
Thanks guys. I'll be sure to post some pics up when it arrives. Ashame about the Nardo but it saved it 1500 for other things ... Akrapovic maybe

Re: Settling down for the long wait
Mine needs a slight prod on the pedal - just rolling to a gentle "chauffeur-stop" at the traffic lights doesn't cause it to engage.smudge wrote:No need to press hard on the brakes at all.
