I saw a 2008 S3 in Greater Manchester late last year with the blue lights and sirens on. Surprised me, both because of the car but also the age.

Sure it was plod and not an Ambo first responder? Cop cars all have to conform to ACPO standards to be operational (ie respond to incidents) - one of which is they must have 5 doors (as getting a prisoner in to a 3 door isn't easy even if they're compliant). And before anyone pipes up about the CMPG Lotus Elise that West Mids had lots of promotional photos of - it was a promo car and never used operationally. :biggrin3:

A lot of first responders don't as they are normal people with not - quite - paramedic training who get sent to medical emergencies in lieu of a proper ambulance. FRs use their own cars.
