A friend purchased a lovely low mileage 911 Supersport last year, one of only a handful Targa top versions. He's hoping that it will enjoy a nice increase in value of the next few years.

I did a few pictures for him:

I've been after a particular Porsche for a while now and recently decided to finally take the plunge and buy what I've always dreamed of owning; a GT3RS. Values of these cars are going up at an incredible rate so I had to jump in quick before they moved completely out of my reach forever. I bought this car firstly because I've always wanted one, the fact that it will only go up in value is a massive bonus and is the only way I could justify it to myself to spend an (for me) eye-watering amount of money on a car.

I've always liked rare, raw, 'hardcore' type road cars, ( my last 2 cars were 22B and a Noble M400) but this car really is truly the 'nuts', its everything I'd hoped and more. There were only 119 RHD 997.1 GT3RS's built so it's also an extremely rare car. It came with a full Porsche service history and only 22k miles plus a decent spec that includes ceramic brakes.
I never thought I'd ever get a car that sounded anywhere near as good (or as loud) as my RS4 does but this car does, courtesy of a Sharkwerks exhaust, the noise is just unbelievable and just adds to the sense of occasion when you drive. I love it already! My perfect RS garage at long last!

My old man had a GT3RS a few years back, had the rear crank shaft seal replaced 3 times under warranty and they still couldnt get it to stop leaking. Bloody awesome car though

Thanks for all the positive comments guys.
I only got to use it a couple of times before the winter set it. It's off the road till April which seems a very, very long way away.

Riv, some nice pics of it there. I've not got any of my own yet, the ones above were sent to me by the previous owner James who owned the car for 3 years. Did you speak to him? He's a top bloke and a real car enthusiast. He only sold the RS to fund the purchase of a Mclaren.

I was lucky enough to manage to buy it privately (saving @10k) and before purchase had it PPI'd at RPM Technic, which is where I picked it up from.

I didn't speak to him in person, just on the piston heads forum, he commented on how well my old b7 went on the way to a piston-heads meet at rolls Royce, I have to say that car sounds awesome,I would rather have that than an r8 v10 all day long,
Wise buy, and a sound investment!!! You got 2 lovely motors to enjoy :beerchug:

Wow, congratulations 22B that really is the most focused, hardcore 911 and the one to have. Will you be taking it on track too? I'm not sure I could bring myself to do so due to the cost, but it's what it was made for so would be rude not to. Best colour too. :beerchug:
