First off, huge thanks once again to Richard for sorting out this cracking event, and for sourcing the name badges - what a touch :thumb:

Hugely impressed with the 733bhp RS6. What a weapon. Loved the flames on the GTR, shame about the schoolboy error on the map setting though :boohoo: :bash:

473HP was Jay's result yesterday.
There was a fairly significant difference between the two B8 S4s. We ran back-to-back, and whilst both cars' power and torque curves looked similar Nick's was down all the way through the range. The last graph here shows the two runs overlaid:

Same MRC stage 2 tune (albeit mine without the S-tronic map for now), same fuel, nearly identical mileage, both cars run back-to-back. Odd one.

Well, a visit to MRC determined the reason behind the difference... heat.
Basically, no issues could be found - dyno'd at around 490ps again.
Doug then demonstrated the difference some latent heat and lack of charge cooling can make to the figures:

436-493 PS and 525-610 Nm !!

Nick you car looks mean on the rollers. Honeycomb grille would make it even meaner.

Thanks Mike. Yeah, I'd agree and would be lying if I said I hadn't considered it - just wary of venturing too far into RS4 territory. Keen to differentiate it as a (widebody) S4 rather than an RS4 wannabe. Besides, know from the RS6 how difficult it can be keeping the honeycomb looking its best! Image
