Hold hold assist not remembering to stay on?

Post by Moonmonkey831 » Sat Jan 17, 2015 4:57 pm

Had this conversation briefly in another thread but without wanting to hijack, I'll start this one.

For those with hill hold assist does it remember it was on last time you used it and then comes on next time you start the car. For whatever reason mine doesn't.

According to the manual it's meant to:

I have the convenience pack also and have tried storing the on setting for hha as part of that, but didn't work either?

Cheers!

Yup, mine does. I have the convenience pack and it remembers.

Don't forget though, for HHA to activate you have to have your seat belt on and all the doors closed. So if you're testing it with either of those not done, it won't work.

Mine resets when the car is switched off
It does state this in the manual but must have been updated on later models

Mine stays on regardless if i switch the car off then back on again, and no convenience pack.
I know its frustrating and I bet its driving you mad when other cars do it
but its not that much of a PITA just to press the button.
Hopefully it can be sorted with a trip to Audi.

Yeah it's not a big deal, to be honest it's just more the fact I forget to use it :)

Mine doesn't either.

Can't find any coding or adaptations in the modules that would make it stay on either.

Yeah, mine says same, but I tried to look at the modules to see if it was a simple change, but I couldn't see anything.

But, could be there somewhere.

For those people testing, you're sat in the car with all the doors closed and your seatbelt on?

I tested mine again last night and it was only when I'd put my seatbelt on did the HHA light come on automatically. :)

went into the dealer today as was getting other things looked at and their tech guy said that some A4's remember the HHA setting after switching off and some don't - he doesn't know why

I said to him was it a MY thing and he said he didn't think so. Not the end of the world, but a strange outcome. They have asked Audi for an answer.
