B7's and super unleaded thirst
Absolutely loving my new car, this engine is just incredible. Just wondering how low or high anyone has saw consumption out of interest?
My first tank when I got it lasted me almost 300 miles, taking it very easy and getting to know the car. The last tank since I've got it home out of england has lasted me almost 200 with a lot of spirited driving! I'd say low 100's is possible!

I'd be surprised if you managed under 150, normal driving is about 220.

i love these threads, its like the Rs4 is beconing more afordable and owned by people who have the funds to buy brand new focus or the like for 20k but buy an RS because of the penis extension points, then pi$$ and moan about costs
lists are
TYRES
FUEL
WHERE TO BUY ''CHEAP'' BRAKES
really boils my pi$$, you bought a high revving 4.2 V8 ffs its not your last car a 1,9cdti or renault clio rs
this is not aimed at the op but i know hes gonna be thinking it

Rick, go easy mate. He's a new owner just getting used to the car. I've known of Niall for a long time now and (I know you eluded to it) he's certainly got enough funds to run his RS. I think if any of you were me, you may have sold your car to him for what he offered me for mine, he's not short of a bob or two, considering the level of his old R32.
Running an RS4 as a daily is enough to hurt anyone's wallet, nothing wrong with being a bit thrifty with the running costs if you're sensible.

Don't worry I'm a big boy and knew someone might think that!
I couldn't give a toss what the mpg is I was just wondering about any stories out there I know a lot of guys on here go to spa etc! Just boredom at work I guess and thought I would fire it out there.
I know what you mean though I saw the same thing happen on the r32 forum it went downhill of late when the r32 dipped below 5k.
Im here for the long run and actually have a set of front discs sitting waiting to go on and I didn't even ask where the cheapest place was to buy them lol, also mate relax, its Friday.

Re: B7's and super unleaded thirst
I was thinking some of the track day ones would have been quality! Mpg quite similar to the r32 I had for 4 years previous, just goes to show you how old the vr6 is now in terms of power and efficiency.
