Hello all

Looking for your advice...I'm thinking of swapping my everyday car (Fiesta ecoboost, 1.0l, 3 cylinder, 125ps) for something else. Still want 40mpg+ but also was awd. Needs to be manual with leather interior and boot to be big enuf for the mutt (collie). Am thinking BMW X1 2.0d Xdrive???

What's your thoughts / suggestions?

A great suggestion, and a very well built car, but from previous experience it would struggle to do 40+mpg, my car was 07 reg maybe the later cars have greatly improved.

haha I think you would find that 40+ mpg would be very achievable with the audi 3.0 tdi

240 bhp more modern version of the 3.0 TDI engine in the significantly lighter B8 from launch, easily under 20k nowdays. Was following one this morning riding on RS4 style 19s (same wheels that come on B8 S4), very nice motor indeed, available with quattro sport diff I believe too

Funnily enough, have also considered 3.0 tdi Le Mans as a chum has one for sale...but think I want something more '4x4'ish (more ground clearance etc).

dare I say it......Nissan quashqai? ive had 2 and they are bullet proof in 4wd and ours gets high 30's MPG round town and in the 60's on a run.
