Goodwill.

You brought and brand new car manufactured in a purpose built factory by machines and now it's had its heart ripped out by monkeys in a bay.

I'd want a new one.

I'd be surprised if they didn't do it....they must hate forums these days as people socialise faults.

Because its only a few months old and its already had nearly £20,000 spent on getting it to the standard that it should have left the factory at.

Thats nearly a 1/3 of the value of the car in warranty work in a matter of months. Hopefully hear tomorrow if Audi UK agree.

That was exactly my argument.

I have little faith in Audi goodwill as none was applied when I was having my issues, but that is another matter. I certainly hope they do the right thing and agree it for you. Good luck in getting the result you deserve !!!!! I'm still curious to hear what they said to you about the DRC knock. Will be interesting to see if you were told the same as I was as we were both using the same dealer.

**UPDATE**

Got a call from the local dealer. Audi UK have agreed to order a new car and for me to drive my current car until it's built and delivered.
Happy with the service and delighted they agree a new car is the best option!

Maybe I have blown this out of proportion, but I simply don't believe Audi should treat their high end customers this way. Its not acceptable to say a knock is a characteristic of a £70,000 car !!!!!! This is a very much shortened version of the events but I hope you can see why Im frustrated, and I guess thats my rant over !!!![/quote]
Shouldn't that be any customer ??? High end customer !

Great outcome, and you get to drive the RS whilst waiting,
do you get to spec up the car or do they order the same?

I'd ask for a few extras on top thrown in for all the hassle. My mates Jag XF caught fire and they gave him a new car with every extra fitted, worth a try!
