I really should pop to Le Mans at some point, but its my birthday on the 14th so its always a pain to get away for the weekend. I've dropped some not so subtle hints to the missus but she never booked me tickets etc..

Might head to Spa F1 though. Loved it last year.

This! Though could do without the speeding ticket next year.

I'd definitely agree ; Lemans is a way better trip than sitting in silverstone traffic for 3hrs, then seeing a bunch of cars doing a procession and then 2hrs queuing to get out
Lemans is a great few days away and lots of booze with other petrol heads

Me too !! Absolutely loved it and have booked already for 2015. Bleu Nord, great site. I think we've got 10 in our group up from 6 last year.

Did Silverstone in 2012 and it was pants. But to be fair it's a completely different experience. I am into F1 in a big way but if I had to choose them Lemans FTW !!

Are you in the private BN or the main BN campsite?

What are the facilities like in Blue Nord? Toilets, showers, electricity?

In the main BN they are OK, when I stayed there 3 years ago they were cleaned constantly so were pretty good. The bogs and showers got pretty busy at certain times but if you planned your poo strategy well it wasn't a problem. In the private BN site they are great, clean, virtually no waiting.

We're in the main BN, as above last year they were kept very clean. They had 2 lots, one to the side (which we were only 100 ft from) (very handy) and the central set. If your an early riser then shower and poo time are easy(think 6am) they get very busy after that though. We've tried to get the same pitch as last year but as yet we don't know if we have.

I've been so sodding busy I missed the email from TL, so I haven't got myself a pitch. But then I'm not the only one in my convoy in the same situation, so we're talking about a week long european jaunt of pride & joy, taking in some serious roads, cities & 'sights'
It's all torque talk.

Plenty of people in the same position this year Smudge

Likewise, I don't have camping yet, but I bought a pair of T34 tickets direct from the ACO last night before they sold out. First time I've EVER bought anything from the ACO - if I'd waited any longer I'd simply be paying more through an operator like all years previous (face value 70 Euros, operator 110 pounds sterling etc.....)

Seeing as I'd then committed to LM2015, I then booked Eurotunnel, £122 return, same times as previous two years, routine works well

Thought I'd give this thread a shove as its getting closer. We didn't end up in Bleu Nord this year. We're in a new one called Epinettes, its next to Houx apparently and is tiny. Hopefully the facilities are good.

How did everyone else fare ?

Booked for Blue Nord with the same gang as normal, mainly Nissan people, one of the GTR owners organised 25 pitches in a block. Big accident today for one of the Le Mans Nissan drivers this weekend..... :(

Will be in my snotter this year, will definitely be driving more sedately, especially as I don't have European breakdown, no hammering it out of toll booths or redlining the tunnels around Rouen....
