Re: B8.5 RS4 Bumper to fit B8
Looking forward to seeing this fitted and painted
Re: B8.5 RS4 Bumper to fit B8
It will look good however I must admit though I like the subtle nature of the S styling.

Nah looks like any other Audi 4 TBH needs to look a bit more different and I think this will do it, still subtle but different
Re: B8.5 RS4 Bumper to fit B8
Well it fits, and fits well, you need to change the crash bar which is included due to the curvature of the new bumper
I forgot my phone so no pictures really sorry, but it's getting painted tomorrow and hopefully fitted tomorrow but def by Thursday

Good stuff, panel gaps nice and tight as OEM then?robokn wrote:Well it fits, and fits well, you need to change the crash bar which is included due to the curvature of the new bumper

Re: B8.5 RS4 Bumper to fit B8
Well as much as we could without swapping over the crash bar, so will update when fully converted BUT the signs are very good TBH
Re: B8.5 RS4 Bumper to fit B8 NOW with PICS
Yeh th glue wouldn't set back in tomorrow for full alignment and gluing, ran out of time Friday night
Re: B8.5 RS4 Bumper to fit B8 NOW with PICS
Looks great! Properly OEM+, so much so that I had to look twice before I noticed that it wasn't stock. Looking forward to seeing the final finished photos.
Can you now confirm whether the crash bar it's supplied with is actually needed?

Re: B8.5 RS4 Bumper to fit B8 NOW with PICS
Yes J it is as the new bumper has a different curve to the OE one, Also looking at covering the AC part with some fibre glass and
some trunking to feed the brakes with a bit of cooling both sides

Cheers for clarifying Rob, appreciated.
Not sure if it's possible to get brake ducting past the secondary air pump on the driver's side, but if you don't have the additional radiator on the passenger side you could do it there. Blanking the grilles would work to hide the silver bits. You could also spray them with stone chip to help hide them. Tricky to say for sure what would work best without seeing it in the flesh really, but good luck with whatever option you go for.
Car's looking great though - enjoy

Hey Rob, did you get the final parking sensor and alignment sorted? Any more pics?

Re: B8.5 RS4 Bumper to fit B8 NOW with PICS
Yes was a little long winded TBH as we had to
*cut some of the under tray away to keep it aligned
*shave some of the actual washer jet no effect on it at all
*re route some of the wiring
and trim the washer jet housing
But sounds alot but actually took about 30 mins all aligned and working so happy days, only one in the UK
Will post up some images later
