Christ, a new power steering pump!!! €955 and almost that again for fitting!!!!

Just out of interest, why do you need a new steering pump? What probs did you suffer?

VAG charge a lot for P/S pumps, I had to buy one from VW for an old VR6 a few years ago and it was about £350!

Just find a good independent specialist to fit it.

Audi main dealer wanted £1700 when mine went, luckily warranty picked up the bill.

Complete failure of the power steering, it was a nightmare to turn the wheel, especially at low speed.

The pump itself is bloody expensive, and unfortunately I've not been able to find a good Indie around me, so Audi Stealer rates apply! must do some more research!!!

Just checking as mine I have always considered a bit on the heavy side

I think at that sort of money I would find a way of doing it myself !

I think I have heard that they have to lift the engine, to get at the pipe work, so hence the price
