OLD or NEW RS4
Do you prefer the OLD RS4 to the NEW RS4?
RE: OLD or NEW RS4
Are you AUDI|RS4 in disguise?

RE: OLD or NEW RS4
Damn only another hour and so and he will be on..... Obviously trying to beat his 50 posts in one day!
Regarding Old and New..... I cant afford either, but as I have not been spoilt by the Old RS4 I lean towards the New...... I know the biggest worry for me now my S4 is outside of warranty is incuring the costs of replacement turbos.... and such like....
I'm not saying the New one will be any more reliable, but part of the complex nature and sesitive turbos have been taken out the equation..... Maybe they are using some kind of technology like the VTEC system to make the car rev so high? Will it have a kick in the back at 5500 like my S2000.... questions questions.....

RE: Re: RE: OLD or NEW RS4
I want to know why did audi dump the turbo idea!!! The B7 is just a tweaked S4 with too many hard edges in the body design.Needs to be a bit more subtle..but have the right road prescence ie:the old rs4.. WHY AUDI!!!!!

RE: Re: RE: OLD or NEW RS4
Answer might lie in Audi trying to protect its main dealer network. Turbo engines have much more scope for modification and upgrades which is usually carried out by after-market specialist, not dealers. Customers then stay with the specialists for parts and servicing etc. which is where a lot of the money lies nowadays since purchase prices have fallen.
Non-turbo engines far less attractive propositions for modifications- gains tend to be more modest and so less appealing. We all leave our cars more or less unmolested and stay with the dealer, purchasing further warranties etc. Ultimately more money for Audi.

RE: Re: RE: OLD or NEW RS4
Looks like the B5 is the up on the votes by far, and the B7 is hopelessly overpriced and not attractive for the turbo buyers.
