Oh well, that's one less to worry about on the second hand market....

It would've been sold at a premium anyway with the line "...famous footballer's car". That'll be an extra £6k, thanks.

That looks to me as all side damage on the RS6 and front damage on the Mitsubishi, also looks like the Mitsubishi is on a set of white lines at a junction - I'd suggest the Mitsubishi pulled out of side road into the side of the RS6

But the question is why? Was the '6 accelerating too fast, perhaps? Beckham hasn't got a great driving record.
I'm guessing this will just 'go away' with money changing hands outside of court.

Like us all in these tanks, he probably had "stealth mode" engaged and the huge barge was simply not seen :)

It'll be interesting to see what he replaces it with.

damage would be all the way down the side (voice of experience).

My (uninformed and purely speculative) opinion would be it looks as if the audi has pulled out the junction and been t-boned by the other car. The 2 ton audi moving forward could cause the other car to face the same way (although it does look odd the amount the other car has gone back into the junction).
Also - look at the debris on the floor. If the other car was say in-front of the camera one then all the bits would have gone into the side of the audi and then bounced off and been dragged along. You can see the wreckage is scattered in the direction of travel of the audi. If the audi had been hit by the other car coming out of the side road then the wreckage would have been along the road.

Curious too the way the audi ended up on the grass front end on as it were. Can't think of a scenario other than the audi pulling out sharpish that would have it pointing that way.

Good to see all involved are fine though.

What an in depth evaluation. I had to go back and have another look.
I don't think it's the Audi's fault, looks like the other car has hit it on the side with some force.. Speeding! Also been suggested in another report.

Quite odd the way the cars are facing, wondered if Becks ended up on the wrong side of the road with all that driving whilst in LA, easily done, I have done it myself, but lucky no one else around

A long as everyone's ok main thing. A crash is a crash one of those things if its meant to happen it will, I'm more interested to see what he replaces it with as someone mentioned. Hopefully another RS6 he does like them also had 1 or 2 C6's and the current well did have.

Here's an alternative - It could be that Becks may have stationary or driving slowly towards the camera and when he was opposite the T-Junction the other car, which was heading to the T-Junction from the left of the pic, didn't stop. That would explain the huge damage to the front of the other car which has stopped dead and also the front of the RS6 being pushed to the left by the impact on the right side.

It does show that Audi build them strong however!

I just can't see a little thing like that hitting the drivers door hard enough to shove 2 tons of Audi 90 degrees and up onto the grass verge without utterly destroying the drivers side.
The key for me is the debris field - if the little car had hit in this way the bits would have gone out to the side rather than in along the drivers direction of travel.
The front damage is pretty consistent with 30-40 mph as that's where a majority of the crumple zones are. I've witnessed a crash slower than that and do similar damage.

I just like detective work :)

My theory: I reckon that the RS6 was turning right out of the side road and got hit side-on by the silver car, which was overtaking the car from which the picture was taken.

I have a sneaky suspicion that he has it courtesy of Audi.... So he's possibly got another one making its way to him already.
It's all torque talk.
