RS6 v Mercedes E63 guess who wins ????

The TTS I drove had best part of 9k miles on it, not a sound, other than those that were expected. Similar the other porsches I've experienced. You have had a good dose of bad luck there.

Agree the Cayman doesn't quite have the same build quality feel as the 911, then it's a fraction of the price.

Quite honestly I think the roads round here made everything much much worse very quickly. When I first picked it up it had a slight creak and a couple of seemingly minor rattles. A week later they had all become far noisier, the creaks constant and more rattles started. You can avoid some rattles by simply not having a sunroof. I'm taking the bird poop as a sign of good luck!

Almost imposible to find a silent car nowadays, i'm sure as Mfctrs put more sh1t in them, this just adds to the rattle fest. Fortunate that mines silent for now but noticed the start of a creak when the sunroof was tilted, queue my growing hatred for sunroofs (is that even a word) & severe loathing for the Panoramic variety.

Snap on the next car though as if i can have one more (maybe 2 more) good years then a 991 TTS could be on the cards to replace the M5. I can't recall the last time i lusted after a car quite as much as i do the 991TTS.

Maybe I've been lucky until recently but I had few rattles in cars until the RS6 which developed 4 over the period I had it - HUD unit, center speaker grill in front console (twice), rear near side door and a badly fitted hinge cover on the rear luggage door which I fixed myself. This car has been a lot worse really, I think it's up to 8 different rattles, maybe even more now and some have been very noisy.

However this car does have it's redeeming qualities

Stunning, no other word for it. They also look awesome in white which TBH are the only colours i've seen close up.

Is the reg actually X1 or have you blanked out some characters? Shame about the rattles as you'd expect better for such a premium brand/car but i'm sure you'll get them sorted & i concur how fekin annoying rattles are in a car.

Guards red for me. Sapphire is OK, but not as deep as Sepang.

Guards red looks really great but just too in your face for me to live with. The blue was actually my first choice and looks better in the flesh. GT Silver would probably be my second choice.

No I don't have a spare £250K so X1 is not mine I'm actually just pondering a private plate with a rather lower budget in mind!

Yep 100%. It's around page 82 of the latest issue..... I've left my copy in London so don't have it to hand at the mo.... I'll confirm when I'm back on Sunday if no one beats me to it.
