Ive been a mk2 Golf man all my life, but the RS4 is a car that holds a very dear place in my heart and I'm very lucky to be in the position to have one as a runaround. Ive only had it a week and I'm over the moon with everything about it - it'll be interesting to see what extra bhp I can eek out of it after it goes into Unit 20 for a carbon clean next week. Im definitely missing the 'kick' at 5000rpm.

Looks mint :-) Is that Helios Blue? Also had a few MK1 & 2s. Awesome cars and that one looks very nice!

Thats a Corrado colour, Blue Aqua Pearl to be precise. It had a respray, new rubber seals, arches & bumpers about 2 years ago. They are cracking cars, but it was my 2nd car and I couldn't use it in the winter for all the salt. At least with the RS4 Ive just bought I can use it all year round here in sunny North Wales!

Back on topic - my car has just gone in to Unit 20 for a health check, de-coke, gearbox/diff oil change and I'm having the exhaust valve vacuum pipes taken off and bunged up. Ive got some money set aside in case something disastrous happens and I'm landed with a big bill, so i'll use that in 6 months on a full system should it behave itself, Its on 60k nearly and it doesn't feel as pokey as I thought it would, its missing that real kick in the nuts at 5k rpm.

My cousin has a new mini cooper s works roadster and i kid you not, it is a rocket. He really surprised me. 50 in third imo is a really bad start in a rs4 against any car such as mentioned. I had learned to accept the fact when at first, I was convinced that I need to supercharge it.

It's a little 2 seater as well mate, they are a lot smaller than the average cooper. Over 200bhp in that little thing. If the road isn't wet, I am scared of anything :?
