That's an extreme amount of torque!
My layman's understanding:

1100NM = 811.3lb/ft

HP=(torque*RPM)/5252

HP= (811*5252)/5252

HP= 811

So at 5252 RPM he is getting roughly 811BHP and I would imagine with an RPM limit of about 6600 he may be actually getting even more at around 6000RPM - assuming his BHP curve is rising after 5252 which I would expect it would be.

That's an insane level of torque. I'm assume the internals & gearbox have had some strengthening??

My DMS M5 is just shy of 700bhp (691 to be exact) & 596lbsft. A little more torque is available but i'm keeping the rest of the car stock so thought it best to air on the side of caution having had a few boxes go pop over the years Even so, not a chance without major surgery could my F10 M5 get to those levels of torque.

I'm sure the details will be in the forum somewhere, but what exactly has been done to that C7 to achieve those levels?

Been trying to find details on this 800bhp Manhart M5 & i can find plenty of details generally on Manhart tuned F10 M5's but i can't find any mention of a UK one or even one higher than 710bhp & 860nm.

The one in the youtube clip above states it's the fastest M5 but is referenced with the outputs above.

Someone else referenced that Manhart M5 as 800BHP, was a friend of mine at a dyno day with that very car there, no mention of what it put out though.

Edit: he actually said 750 BHP, so maybe that's all it put out? Anyway, I've asked him to clarify.

Cheers. No doubting that M5 is quite a machine & Golf's C6 RS6 certainly is, but to get beaten as described on this thread by a (meant to be similar power C6 RS6), the M5 owner clearly either wasn't trying, his car was fooked or he was a over stating his outputs a little. Had it been a C7 then an advantage off the line i'd grant you, but stock C6 RS6 vs stock F10 M5, the M5 would have been quicker (not by a huge margin) so that should translate up the tuning curve unless something's amiss.

I thought Golf said he ran head to head at VMAX (EvoMax) & battered the M5 who the owner said had 800bhp etc. etc.? Am i confusing stories/posts/threads? Assuming i've not gone mad, it's that run i'm referring to, not a dyno run.

Yes he did, he said he waited for him (basically) and then lost him again on the next straight.

We'll have to wait for golf to respond really. Some confusion with it all because the way golf puts it it *sounds* like his car is lower power than the M5 to be fair he doesn't quite say that but it is why I said it wasn't a totally fair comment > However Bam thinks golf's C6 is running 1100NM torque (which is colossal) and by my quick reckoning suggests he would be producing at LEAST 811 BHP (see my calcs further up this page).

Missed the Amar post. I wasn't far off then although I'm surprised it "only" hits a max PS of 790 given the torque.

4WD + Huge Torque vs a 2WD M5 with equal or even greater torque is almost always going to win. No way the M5 can get that level of power down, it struggles to get 560PS down below 60mph. I remember flooring mine down a motorway slip road and an Audi S5 keeping up with me until I got full traction. However.. the M5 is great fun
