S5 wheels on S4?
S5 wheels on S4?
Simple question as I have a set of these on my B5 Rs4 with 255 tyres so will these fit a standard S4 without rubbing. 9x19 et33 is the spec?

Re: S5 peeler wheels on S4?
If you're lowered at all they will rub, yes. The most aggressive offset I would recommend is ET35 on an 8.5" wide wheel. That would give you a near-to-flush fitment, minus 1-2mm for arch clearance. Pics of this fitment are here: viewtopic.php?f=49&t=111090
ET33 on a 9" wide wheel would push the wheels out by a further ~8mm.

Wont be lowered. I found a few sites saying might be okay with 245 tyres on. Bit annoying as they look much better than the S4 ones due to the concave.

Re: S5 peeler wheels on S4?
Hmm, that doesn't stack up based on my experience.
This thread, and this post in particular, tells the story I would expect based on that fitment, that you may get rubbing if you don't have stretched tyres and that the front wheels in particular will stick out of the arch.
See how the front wheels poke out beyond the arch in this image: http://pages.suddenlink.net/bobpaule/IMG_2923.JPG
I wouldn't recommend it personally, but if you're not lowered you should be able to get away with it. Totally up to you at the end of the day of course

Re: S5 wheels on S4?
So I tried the peeler 19in S5 wheels and sure enough the front would not work. Interestingly there was no rubbing on the front, rear there was but only on a very severe dip with loaded car. See below.
Anyway Im loving the car and how it drives on 18's and was looking at spacing stock wheels but then thought about the 18in S5 wheels that are available. These are 8.5 et29 so will be 3mm further out that the 8.5in S5 19in and I have the stock 245/40/18's in the shed to use so a narrower tyre that the Peeler wheels. Should work, just wondering what it might look like. Photo below shows how the car sat with 9in et33 and 255 tyres.
Anyone tired these S5 18's on a B8? Its the snowflake style ones.
