Front Armrest

Post by JampoTT » Wed Mar 02, 2005 4:40 pm

Was this ever an option on the S4 (excuse my ignorance!) and if so, is there anything available as an aftermarket part?

Despite being a sporty car, sometimes I just want to rest my left arm...

Thanks. They've stopped selling them, there...

I noticed vagparts have a few self fit armrests, but I didn't see anything S4 specific.

Pete - is it worth having? Any chance of a photo?

When I went to buy my Avant last month I asked about it as there isn't one fitted in my car. I was told it's available as an after sale option at around £500.

To be honest, after driving mine for a couple thousand miles without one, I wouldn't part with the money to fit it, as I don't feel the need for it.

Check with your local stealer and see if you get quoted same price if you can't source one elsewhere

Agreed^. Though it comes in handy on long motorway hauls, I rarely use mine, indeed I find it obtrusive for normal town driving as it gets in the way of gear changes. Would defo not bother spending £500 on one.

Absolutely spot on advice. If you do a *LOT* of motorway stuff then maybe; but 500 quid ??!! Surely it must be the same as on any A4, so a trip down the breakers might be rewarding.....
