What about '*R54 BOB' for £499 at DVLA (* could be almost any letter)?

54 isn't in the choice of numbers to have from the selector. It goes 1-30, then 33, 40, 44, 50, 55......100, 111 etc etc.

I agree with Dave, I've also got an R5 plate, ideal for any RS (including GT3 :D )

Cheers

Ben

54 is in the new style search - e.g. XR54BOB
But my mistake - all the ?R54BOB ones are £1299+

And also completey useless, unless you have a 54 registered car (your not allowed to make your car look younger than it is).

Paid £50 for my plate - Bargain!

Must have spent £700+ though transfering it from car to car.
Too much is bad.
Plenty is better.

There are lots of stipulations in the transfer of number plates from one vechile to another, those who have been down that road can tell you what a ball ache it can be at times. One of the ones I could never understand is that your allowed to transfer a plate from a car to a bike but not the other way, only to another bike??

What is not widely known when buying a private plate for your car/bike is that you dont actually own the reg number itself, just the right to wear it on your vechile. DVLA owns all registration numbers on all vechiles nationwide.
