Well today I gave up and will be asking for my deposit back on Monday (or maybe tomorrow if they can)

doodlebug : Ordered Early March - build was scheduled w/c 8th Sept, now cancelled. Utter fiasco and Audi UK should be ashamed of their customer service.
glm: Ordered 31st March - no build date - claimed due due to ceramics shortage (also an exclusive paint order). dealer Says due next update 15th Sept - perhaps expected Order jan 15
jezitalia : Ordered April/ Confirmed all end May - build week 38 confirmed 10/9 - Delivery scheduled end Oct **
Chesterfield : ordered End June - build was scheduled w/c 8th Sept - Status Unknown now week 37 (1st week September)
DavidBamford : Ordered Mid July - no build date
gdavison : Ordered End July - No Build date - 19th Oct - Cancelling order and requesting deposit return - leaving Audi Ownership, probably for good

Don't blame you. What have you opted for instead?

Tesla P85D .. AWD : 691 hp : 931 Nm: 0-60 3.2 secs

We took a P85 S for a test drive today .. did 125 miles and used 43kW .. simple (rough comparison) is that is just over 5 quid Electricity versus approx 45 quid of V-Power in the RS6 .. whilst my decision is not based on the fuel costs at all as TBH the rear wheel drive current P85 put more than a smile on my face .. hence order

RS6 C7 Order UK status - please add

Interesting. Going to be a long wait to July.

Seems slow to 60, assume it's a tad heavy?

The TV screen in the front is mental, don't know, can't wait to see one on the road but for me to head Eco for that money it would need to be really special on the exterior.

3.2 isn't slow... Unless you're referring to the 4.2 time.. but that's the "S" - rear wheel drive version and 4.2 is pretty good vs, say, an F10 M5.

If the P85D 0-60 time is correct it will be one of the fastest production saloons around in 2015 if not THE fastest.

Hmm, suppose I was looking at 911TTS with less power and torque being quicker to 60. Though accept that's not a 'loon.

Range would concern me, though I know G is big into formula E so I get the connection.

Ah.. I thought you were comparing it to the RS6!

If Tesla carry out their plans there should be a reasonable number of these "Supercharger" stations in the UK in a year or so. To be honest I don't have any intention of getting one for similar reasons and there is no substitute (currently, or in the forseeable future) for the 911 TTS! I might get the new smaller Tesla in 2015 as a run around tho..

It looks pants.... I park the rs6 as far away as possible in a carpark just to get to walk up to it.

yeah .. Kudos to the Mrs's as she is ok with it being like a new "challange" for us to do on the few journeys we / I do that are > 300 mile journeys .. so we do we think we can handle it and to be honest after talking to press about Formula E and its environmental vision for the last year, I may have "drank the coolade"
