Hi All
I'm new to the forum but would be grateful for any advice you may have.
I have a 2000 RS4 B5, and the engine management light is on because of the secondary air pump failure.
Although the pump was not 2 years old when I had the problem diagnosed Audi refused to replace it because they said the pump had failed as 1 or both diverter valves had failed causing moisture to enter the pump and therefore causing it to fail. I have since bought a second hand pump and valves and plan to swap them over. The question is how do I test to make sure both valves are working and avoid this happening again.
Many thanks
Tim
Secondary air pump and diverter valves. Testing.

The best way to avoid any further issues would be to have the system removed, and coded out - speak to a reputable tuner rather than Audi to have this done
The secondary air system is only really there to control emissions on a cold start, and is not used when the car is up to temp.
