Cleaned my Wife's car today. Ibis White :s3addict: . We've had it 2 years and i've always ribbed her about choosing white and it being hard to clean. Well, the clay bar had a second outing and has transformed the paintwork and made it look like new. Over the years it picked loads of marks/stains which didn't come off with a wash (I only wash hers and spend the majority of products and time on my car...obviously) and the clay bar took 95% of them out. After a wash, tar removal, clay bar action, layer of Super Resin Polish and sealant and it looks excellent.

It took 3 hours but I won't be doing it again for a long while :) I think I am getting addicted....maybe it's the chemicals? Autoglym HD is on it's way (for my car not hers  )

There's something quite therapeutic about clay barring a car that's not had it for a long time

I'll leave the car on the drive for you. Hertfordshire. If you can have it all clean before I get home from work tomorrow that would be great! Thanks mate.

i bought a clay mitt on friday and treated the wifes white quashqai, so much quicker and easier, plus you can use the soapy water from washing the car with 2 bucket method. much faster and still great results!

I agree. I bought a clay cloth and some detailer spray from Autosmart for £40 to clean up my 3 year old disco, clayed, sealed and waxed in about 3 hours, it was the easiest detail I've done, far quicker than using a bar and the results are exactly the same. It seems things have moved on and I'm told Iron X is even easier but haven't tried.

Looks great, strange reflection on the drivers door in the first pic, looks like a scary snowman with a red hat!!!
