Please see attached PCP example. Using this example, including my £20000 deposit and the £20000 total of monthly payments for 48 months, that means at the end of the 48 month term, I have spent £40000. If I pulled out of the agreement at that point, how much of that money would I be left with? If I say, decided to get rid of the act and upgrade in year 3, what would I be left with?

B8 purchase...

Post by doodlebug » Sun Sep 21, 2014 11:46 am

Go to offers then A4 or RS then look at the offers.

Equity at the end is the value of the vehicle less the final payment. In the example above the final payment is around 19k, so any equity will be the balance between sale value and this.

If you want to own, don't PCP. Think of PCP as a lease. Better to do HP if you want to finance and purchase.

I see what you mean. So in that example, the car on average mileage after 4 years would be worth very roughly £30k?! leaving me with around £10k. I definitely don't think PCP is for me. I would rather use the equity of my current B7 as a deposit, and finance the rest with a Zopa loan or suchlike, which I can make extra payments on whenever I like with no penalty and will actually own the car.

Thoughts on price & colour? Im not a massive fan of white, but I presume the grey looks a little darker in the flesh?.....

Vestax,

If you do visit Stoke Audi, ask for Alex Nelson, tell him we recommended you to him and he'll see you okay, they have a quite a few in stock plus can source from Stafford and Crewe.

Yes the grey does look darker in the flesh. Plus that one has a mix of leather and Alcantara.

Good luck.

I like the car, Suzuka grey is a very nice subtle colour, looks great in the sun!!
It's a better looking car than the black one for sure, I also quite like the interior,I don't think buckets are a must have on the b8, maybe worth having a look to get a proper feel for it.
And while your at it get rid of your vestax and get some proper 1200's :bigblink:

Thanks for the advice. Do you think there is any room for movement on the price, or is it reasonable? I had a vestax pmc05pro mixer and 1210's, Technics all the way! All long gone now though......

Sorry for the bump but how do you do this exactly please?
