What a pile of w@nk. I'll believe an update when I see it. What a bunch of unprofessional, clueless twunts.gdavison wrote:Just had a call from my Dealer. Audi UK have said there will issue an update next week (which stacks with what others have been told) .. as we both worked to cut through the waffle that Audi UK had provided him, the take away was .. Order book will be opened for face lift "soon", it will cost more, no idea on bundle differences / colours. (Dealer says the RS6 C7 bundle changes which Doodlebug pointed out where extensive where mainly driven by it was not selling).. so I am leaving it till next week and shall make a decision then

So to cure the problem of it not selling, they put the price up and make it less configureable by grouping options in packs? That makes sense

And make it impossible to order one/understand what the fu££ is going on if you have placed an order. It's a mess.Chesterfield wrote:So to cure the problem of it not selling, they put the price up and make it less configureable by grouping options in packs? That makes sense

Pricing, standard spec change and details on cosmetic changes (chrome strip on tailgate and chrome accents to air vent controls etc)
Anyone wanting to swap head/rear lights has an issue, they are different shapes. Addition of some changes to the sills on styling too.

No details on RS6, further update to follow.
Cannot place an order for A6/S6 until NOVEMBER!
Laughable.

I've seen the pricing and specs for A6/S6. But not heard about the restriction on ordering until November.. is that from AUK?
Seems a very long time to stop taking orders. Especially if they are a volume sales outfit rather than catering to premium sales.

Yes, unless I am going deaf. First customer cars will arrive in Jan. Nov to Jan is about right, and we know they are still building MY14 in Oct.Chesterfield wrote:I've seen the pricing and specs for A6/S6. But not heard about the restriction on ordering until November.. is that from AUK?

That's ridiculous. Certainly shows the "open for orders September" to be a load of cobblers from AUK in their previous statement to dealers.
If they are building MY14 in October, what do they intend to build toward the end of that month if they aren't opening the books until Nov for the facelift?
Will an order placed in Nov go straight to build? No chance to change options etc?

All good questions! Makes the 'showroom cars in November' statement seem somewhat dubious now.Chesterfield wrote:That's ridiculous. Certainly shows the "open for orders September" to be a load of cobblers from AUK in their previous statement to dealers.

Yes. It's the mis-information and the treatment we've/I've received that's put me off waiting. They've basically taken the piss out of us.
Re: RS6 C7 Order UK status - please add
Agre doodlebug feel like a idiot. Made me swiftly sell my old RS6 quick enough to take that I wish they where as quick to give me the new one. Who came out on top them got a Mint condition C6 low mileage which surprisingly sold withing 2 days, I'm sure they made a good packet on that. And I'm here RS6 less with the rest of us waitin or where waiting.

Mrs D and I were invited by Porsche Cars UK to the Porsche Festival at Brands hatch today, had a great drive down in the Boxster GTS. At the event had a couple passenger laps in a Panamera GTS and it got me thinking .........
Over many years of numerous "top of the range Audis" ownership, Audi have never given me any "hospitality / thanks / recognition" apart from the A8 launch at Audi North London a few years ago and of course the numerous "come see what terrible second hand cars we are getting rid of" emails
Whilst over the same years Porsche have given us both numerous invites to Porsche Cup races, a number of PCGB events (like the one today at Brands) and also a good few drive events at Silverstone.
Add to that difference in how the two brand treats us as owners .. The Panamera GTS was a superb car both handling, sound and performance ..... so to be honest .. its all here for Audi to loose with me now ...
I will give Audi this week to let me know what is happening with my "order" .. if that update is not delivered this week or is not good, I'll go collect my 10K deposit next Saturday and simply drive from Audi Basingstoke to Porsche Calcot and hemorrhage money there and TBH get a better more enjoyable buying experience and also know that we will get goodwill and recognition as a owner over the future years
